Tesla now in India News: After a long wait, Alan Musk’s electric vehicle company Tesla has finally made its official entry into India. Tesla’s first showroom ‘Experience Center’ has been opened on 15 July 2025 at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated this historic moment, which led to a new chapter in the Indian Electric Vehicle (EV) market.
There was speculation and discussion about Tesla’s arrival in India for the past several years. The company first tried to enter the Indian market several times, but due to issues like import duty and local manufacturing, it was delayed. However, the new EV policy and the encouragement of the government have cleared the way for Tesla. Spread over 4,000 square feet in Mumbai, the showroom is the company’s first official outlet in India, after which other cities like Delhi are also planned to expand.
