Administer and support the VMware Horizon View infrastructure including Connection Servers, UAG, Composer (if applicable), and App Volumes. Perform provisioning and maintenance of virtual desktops using Instant Clone or Linked Clone technology. Optimize and update golden/master images for Windows 10/11 VDI. Monitor system health, usage, and performance using tools like vSphere, vCenter, and vROps. Manage user profiles using Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) or FSLogix. Provide Level 2/3 support for VDI incidents and service requests. Perform patching and upgrades of Horizon infrastructure components and guest OS images. Maintain and troubleshoot group policies, login scripts, and access control settings. Collaborate with network, security, and service desk teams to resolve VDI-related issues. Proficient with vSphere/vCenter, Instant Clones, UAG, App Volumes, and DEM. Experience with Windows OS optimization for VDI environments. Strong understanding of Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, and DHCP. Ability to troubleshoot desktop issues, login slowness, and session performance problems. Familiarity with PowerShell or PowerCLI scripting is a plus. Exposure to ControlUp, vROps, or other VDI monitoring tools. Strong knowledge in managing and maintaining the VMware infrastructure management strong hands on experience on VMware upgradation and migration Proficient on VMware technologies like vCenter, Update Manager, HA, DRS, vMotion, svMotion, Template & Cloning, etc. Experience in Managing linked clone/Instant clone pools, thin apps, Persistent disks. Experience in Creating of desktop pools such as Floating, Dedicated. Very good hands on experience & expert understanding with VMware Horizon 7.0 & later Good experience in VMware Appvolumes, Appstacks & writable volumes. Strong hands-on experience on upgradation/migration on VMware and VMware horizon view Strong knowledge of system administration PowerShell CLI script and PowerShell and Batch scripts Document SOPs, troubleshooting steps, and operational procedures.
